Rebuilding Together: A Nation’s Strength Lies in Unity

    Scripture of the Day:
“They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”  Isaiah 61:4 (NIV) Let us work together in rebuilding our nation and our county.

    Reflection:
On this Sunday, let us remember that a nation’s true strength is not measured by wealth or power, but by the unity of its people. When we stand together, rebuilding, restoring, and renewing, we bring hope to what once seemed lost. May this day inspire us to act in solidarity, turning devastation into renewal and division into shared purpose.

CPA Geoffrey Gitau Mwangi wished the county residents a blessed and purposeful Sunday and a fruitful week! 🌿https://www.facebook.com/61565106599119/posts/122165344010503553/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

CPA Geoffrey Mwangi criticizes the government for disrespecting constitutionalism and the rule of law.

Nakuru Gubernatorial Aspirant CPA Geoffrey Mwangi has called out the Government, stating that respect for constitutionalism and the rule of law is key. In a Press release on SabaSaba, Mwangi stated that it is time to reclaim Democratic space through responsible leadership. According to the Politician, there is a disturbing trend in recent days, with sections of government officials irresponsibly labelling peaceful pro-governance demonstrators as “terrorists.”

He argues that this dangerous rhetoric not only undermines the Constitution of Kenya but also betrays the democratic ideals upon which Kenya as a republic stands. This labeling, while politically expedient for some, he says, exposes a troubling disconnect between leadership and the very citizens it purports to serve.“The Constitution of Kenya (2010) is unequivocal in safeguarding civil liberties, including the right to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression. Public office holders are constitutionally mandated to uphold, not suppress, these rights,” stated Mwangi.

CPA Geoffrey Gitau Mwangi, who has declared interest in the Nakuru Gubernatorial seat come 2027 on Rigathi Gachagua’s political formation, DCP, added that to brand unarmed youth, students, and civil society actors, who are peacefully exercising their democratic mandate, as terrorists is to weaponize fear against justice. He says this conflates dissent with disloyalty and replaces dialogue with repression. “This approach is not only distasteful but profoundly anti-democratic,” he said. The Politician noted that the current wave of civic awakening led by Kenya’s youth is not rooted in violence, but in vision.

According to him, this is a vision for transparent public finance, accountable leadership, and governance anchored in constitutionalism. These demonstrations, CPA Mwangi notes they reflect long-ignored concerns and a yearning for leadership that listens, engages, and respects the social contract.

“Kenya cannot and must not be led through intimidation and outdated tactics of fear. What the moment demands is a paradigm shift from reactionary governance to reflective leadership. Leadership that sees protest not as a threat, but as a vital pulse of a thriving democracy,” he said. For Kenya to remain a beacon of constitutional order and good governance in Africa, CPA Mwangi states that its leaders must rise above defensiveness and embrace the call for accountability being echoed across the country.

He added that Democracy cannot thrive where peaceful voices are met with criminalization, distortion, and force. “It is time to recognize that the real threat to national unity is not protest, it is unchecked power,” he pointed out. CPA Mwangi’s sentiments coming on Saba Saba, a day that Kenyans mark the struggles for democracy since the 1990s. https://famousnakuru.co.ke/nakuru-gubernatorial-aspirant-cpa-geoffrey-mwangi-calls-out-government-for-disrespecting-constitutionalism-rule-of-law/

  • Rising to Serve: A Sunday in Kabazi

Rising to Serve: A Sunday in Kabazi

On a blessed Sunday in Kabazi, Subukia Sub-county, I had the honor of worshiping with the vibrant congregation of PCEA Kabazi during a spirit-filled service and impactful fundraiser. A reminder that we are called to serve. We rise to serve.

The event was graced by Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa, representing His Excellency Rigathi Gachagua, EGH, adding both significance and encouragement to the occasion.

Rev. Muhuthu delivered a stirring sermon based on the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14–30), reminding us that the gifts God places in our hands are not to be hidden or hoarded, but multiplied—for His glory and the betterment of our communities.

The sense of unity, warmth, and unwavering faith among the Kabazi faithful was both humbling and deeply inspiring. Their example calls us all to rise to the challenge of faithful stewardship, purposeful service, and accountability right where we are planted.

May we each embrace our God-given roles as agents of transformation in our homes, churches, and nation. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/164qJPYUzT/

  • Kenya’s Health Reform: A Call Beyond Registration

Kenya’s Health Reform: A Call Beyond Registration

CPA Geoffrey Mwangi’s vision for Kenya’s healthcare reform is grounded in hard-won experience and a deep understanding of how institutions succeed or fail.

To him, registering with the Social Health Authority (SHA) isn’t just a civic duty; it’s a strategic investment in a system meant to serve everyone, especially the most vulnerable. But he’s clear-eyed: registration and or enrollment is only the starting point.

Mwangi argues that true universal health coverage hinges not just on numbers, but on systems that are efficient, transparent, and equitable. Without mass registration, he warns, risk pooling collapses, healthcare costs soar, and essential services remain inaccessible to many.

His years at NHIF have taught him that reform must go beyond policy statements. Registration without real delivery is an empty gesture. What Kenya truly needs is a system where funds translate into frontline services, where oversight prevents waste, and where citizens are treated not as statistics, but as rights-holders.

In a country where falling ill too often means falling into poverty, Mwangi poses a critical question: Can we afford not to fix our healthcare system? For him, SHA must not become another reform in name only. It must be a lived reality driven by political will, grounded in sustainable financing, and fueled by public trust.

  • Mwangi’s Inspiring Service-Led Leadership

    Mwangi’s Inspiring Service-Led Leadership

In a political climate often marked by division: ethnic, economic, and ideological—the language of leadership is undergoing a quiet but significant shift. Former Deputy President H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH, has recently captured national attention through an unconventional rhetorical strategy: addressing citizens as “cousins, brothers, sisters, and in-laws” in his public forums.

This use of familial metaphors may seem simple on the surface, but it carries a powerful subtext. It reframes political identity around shared humanity rather than tribal loyalty offering a language of unity in a nation historically burdened by ethnic polarization. In choosing to speak in terms of kinship, Gachagua subtly disarms long-standing tensions, opening the door to more inclusive conversations about governance and nationhood.

But as many Kenyans know, words, however well-intentioned, must translate into action.

That’s where Nakuru’s gubernatorial frontrunner, Geoffrey Mwangi, steps in with substance. In Nakuru County, a mosaic of Kenya’s diverse cultures and communities, Mwangi mirrors Gachagua’s reconciliatory tone but grounds it in everyday action. His leadership model is not just about what is said from the podium, but what is done on the ground.

From town hall dialogues to faith-based gatherings and grassroots development forums, Mwangi is steadily building bridges of trust. He understands that true unity comes not from symbolic language alone, but from deliberate choices that prioritize inclusion, dignity, and shared opportunity.

“We must speak to each other not as rivals, but as Kenyans because the future of Kenya depends not on our differences, but on our shared destiny.” — Geoffrey Mwangi

As Kenya looks ahead to a more united future, leaders like Mwangi are showing that it is possible to lead with humility, govern with integrity, and still inspire hope. His inclusive leadership reflects a growing hunger among Kenyans not just for promises, but for presence; not just for slogans, but for service.

This is more than a shift in tone. It’s a shift in what leadership means.

Let’s back leaders who don’t just speak unity but live it. As Nakuru prepares to choose its next governor, the time is now to support leadership that brings people together, builds bridges, and delivers for all. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19CmU2CAz8/

  • A Leader Where People Live, Worship, and Hope

A Leader Where People Live, Worship, and Hope

CPA. Geoffrey Gitau Mwangi‘s presence at the PCEA Kabazi Sunday service and fundraiser reflected a growing public consensus around his brand of values-driven leadership.

The service, graced by Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa on behalf of H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH , was anchored in Rev. Muhuthu’s stirring message from the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30), a call to purpose, responsibility, and transformative stewardship.

Mwangi’s attendance resonated deeply with the sermon’s themes, embodying a leadership philosophy rooted in using one’s position not for personal gain but for the multiplication of impact across communities.

As a frontrunner in Nakuru’s gubernatorial race, his continued engagement with faith-based communities signals a deliberate alignment with principles of service, humility, and accountability.

In a county yearning for leaders who turn conviction into action, his visibility in such spiritually charged gatherings affirms his commitment to stewarding Nakuru’s diverse resources — social, economic, and moral — with integrity and diligence.

As the faithful of Kabazi demonstrated unity and generosity, Mwangi’s message was clear: leadership must begin where people live, worship, and hope.

  • Financing Health, Restoring Trust: CPA Geoffrey Mwangi’s Warning

Financing Health, Restoring Trust: CPA Geoffrey Mwangi’s Warning

CPA Geoffrey Mwangi’s critique of Kenya’s healthcare financing system serves as a stark wake-up call. Without adequate and ongoing funding, the newly formed Social Health Authority (SHA) risks becoming merely another empty reform structure full of potential but lacking authority. For Kenya to build a functional and reliable health system, restoring public trust must become a top priority.

Drawing from his tenure at NHIF, Mwangi highlighted a critical operational success: processing payments to accredited health facilities within 14 days of claim submission. This wasn’t merely good administration it was a vital backbone for service continuity. It ensured that healthcare providers, especially in rural and faith-based facilities, could remain open, retain staff, stock essential supplies, and continue serving patients with dignity.

Unfortunately, that momentum is now under threat. Under SHA, delays in disbursements and persistent underfunding are creating dangerous bottlenecks. Clinics are strained, providers are demoralized, and patients are beginning to lose faith in a system that promised universal coverage but is failing to deliver it.

Healthcare reform must go beyond ambitious headlines and policy announcements. It must translate into dependable, real-world impact for everyday Kenyans from mothers in understaffed maternity wards to children in remote dispensaries waiting for care. That transformation requires more than political will; it requires strategic, timely, and well-managed investment.

For millions, access to healthcare isn’t a policy debate it’s a matter of life and death. Reform must be matched with resources. Because without funding, even the best-designed systems collapse. And when healthcare collapses, people suffer.

Listening to Nakuru’s Voices, Leading with Purpose

We have a serious business to reclaim the lost glory of Nakuru County. In this mission, we are not leaving any Nakurian behind.

Shared and learnt deeply insightful ideas when I joined “Mahīga matatū”, a Gikuyu phrase that loosely translates to The Three cooking stones, a women’s group from Tayari, Molo Constituency during their monthly group meeting.https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Z5eHmaXnf/

Justice for Dennis: A Life Lost, A Nation Awakened

In Ngwataniro, Turi Ward – Molo, we gathered to bid a heartbreaking farewell to Dennis Njuguna, a young soul full of promise, a student at Njenga Karume, whose life was brutally cut short by a police bullet during the June 25th, 2025 Gen Z protests.

Dennis didn’t deserve to die. He was not a threat he was a voice. A voice among thousands, crying out for a better Kenya.

As we lowered him into the ground, the pain was deep, but so was the resolve. We laid him to rest with a heavy heart but with hope that justice will not be denied. His family, his friends, and this nation deserve answers.

Justice Over Propaganda: We Stand for the People

Wednesday, 2nd June 2025, I honoured summons by the Nakuru DCI over false and desperate allegations linked to June 25th protests the upcoming Saba Saba rally.

The claims that I organized and funded demonstrations are politically instigated, malicious, baseless, and intended to divert us from our course.

Let me state categorically that no form of intimidation, coercion, or propaganda will deter our resolve.

My leadership is anchored on solving real problems not manufacturing conflict.

The people of Nakuru are calling for jobs, clean water, functional healthcare, youth opportunities, and accountability in service delivery. That is the leadership I stand for.

It is no secret that leaders aligned to the DCP Party and H.E. Rigathi Gachagua are increasingly being targeted but we remain unmoved and unshaken in our commitment to serve the people. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1CPfHCjA7Y/
